What this is, and where it came from.
The work is Dominic Murphy's. Every painting, title and line of writing here is his. This restoration exists so the collection stays reachable; it asserts no authorship and sells nothing. If the artist or his representatives want anything altered or taken down, that will be done.
The original site ran from 2006 until 2016 on the Mr Site
platform. Its pages and images were recovered from Internet Archive captures — the last complete ones
date from April 2016, and that is the state reproduced here. Page addresses reproduce the original
.htm paths so old links still resolve.
408 works across 28 sections were recovered in the artist's own running order, with his captions. A further 315 paintings survive in the archive from earlier rebuilds and are kept in Earlier works — 723 in all. Two sections were Flash slideshows whose image manifests the crawler never fetched; those could not be rebuilt, and say so on their own pages. Five images referenced by the final pages were never captured, and one capture came back blank.
The short notes under each plate describe mood and atmosphere rather than subject matter. They were written for this restoration and are not the artist's words; his own captions are the titles above them. 723 of 723 works carry one.
